One of the places that I have always wanted to visit was Japan. I plan to visit there once I have my full-time job and have saved up enough money to go.
I would so much like to visit Japan someday too, Brandon! And if you are interested, maybe in this class you could explore some of the fascinating connections between India and Japan because of Buddhism and other ways that Indian stories have traveled to Japan and flourished there; here's a really cool video: Hindu Godsin Japan ... a famous one is the goddess Saraswati, known as Benzaiten or Benten in Japan: Benzaiten link ... very cool stuff that would make a great project for this class if you are interested in that! :-)

ReplyDeleteI love this image! The night life in any big city is so captivating and the glowing neon signs adds to the allure and fantasy-like setting. There are some places that people have said felt like time is stopped (empty museums, supermarkets at an ungodly hour of the night, solitude rest stops on a stretch of empty road, etc.). I definitely get the same type of vibe from this photo.
