"Why rejection hurts so much - and what you can do about it"

I decided to read this article. I didn't really realize how the digital age tends to amplify rejection as stated in the article. Our brains are structured and wired to respond to rejection in a bad way. Apparently, it has something to do with evolution and how it's a defense mechanism that was used by nomad people for survival reasons. The information that they gave us about how to deal with rejection was helpful. However, I do feel like at the end of the day, it is easier said than done. Humans are social creatures, so the inherent idea of being rejected by everyone will be a natural fear within ourselves.

"A fixed mindset could be holding you back - here's how to change it"

I agree with the statement that consistent praise is not helpful. In my opinion, if nobody ever experiences failure, they will always think that they are right and be fixated on that mindset. Intelligence isn't something that you are perfect at, and getting some form of criticism will be beneficial. I did not really consider the consequences of having a closed mindset while working in the medical field. I don't want to imagine what it would be like to have a doctor that never thought that he was wrong. Imagine having someone like Dr. House as your doctor, but the doctor isn't as smart as he is.
