I found this story to be short but exciting none the less. There is only one main character, who is the focus of the story. The story is about the main character, in this case, a rabbit. The rabbit wakes up, being startled by a coconut falling. The rabbit, hearing this, begins to freak out. It thinks that the Earth is splitting apart due to the loud sound. Without thinking, it goes to the other rabbits and starts a panic by telling everybody that the world is ending. From there on, more animals are brought into the rumour because nobody decides to check if the rabbit is actually correct. Eventually, it reaches a point where the rumours reach the highest authority in the forest, the lion. The lion hears the rumour and decides enough is enough. He takes the rabbit and goes back to the source of the commotion, the coconut tree. After investigating the rumour, the lion decides that the rabbit was wrong and is clearly an idiot.
The story is highly relatable in modern society. A lot of people still spread rumours and people tend to blindly believe them even if there is no evidence.
